🔥 Road to Battle at the Capitol – Athlete Spotlight 🔥

🥋 Olivia Vick, 17, Black Belt Competitor

Olivia trains under the instruction of Joe Schibanetz, Misty Vick, and Karen Mitchell and has already built an impressive competitive resume. Among her greatest achievements are winning Gold at World tournaments and earning the title of National Champion.

She is a strong competitor in Traditional Forms & Traditional Weapons, known for her focus, discipline, and competitive spirit.

Instructor Master Joe says, "I'm most proud of her influence and leadership at North Star Martial Arts. She is an asset to our students, leads by example, and encourages the best in their development. Her accomplishments through competition speaks to her character and dedication to the martial arts".

💬 Goals:
Olivia’s martial arts goal is to inspire others through her dedication and compete on the world stage. Beyond martial arts, her life goal is to one day raise a family and own lots of pets.

This past Saturday, we witnessed something extraordinary as our students tested for their black belts in Tang Soo Do. Not just skill. Not just strength. But years of discipline, sacrifice, humility, and relentless perseverance brought to life on the floor.

A Black Belt represents more than technical excellence — it is a symbol of character forged through challenge, respect earned through action, and courage proven under pressure.

To those who tested: you honored the art, your instructors, your families, and yourselves. Your journey has shaped you — and now you help shape the future of our school.

This is not the end of training. It is the beginning of a legacy.
