We checked the calendar to confirm: memory-making season is not over yet 🀘

Our partners at SWA Watersports and High Sierra Waterski School have what you need for a day out on the lake. Slash the wave behind a wakesurf boat, gather a group for a mellow pontoon cruise on a warm September afternoon, or just get out there and see what the day brings.... either way, the day you've been dreaming about starts right here at the marina. πŸ™Œ

Buying a boat is the fun part. Finding storage and quality boat service can be where it gets tricky. πŸ€”

Buy a new boat through our partner Superior Boat Repair & Sales - Nautique, Barletta, and more - and lock in 15% off year-round or summer storage at Homewood High & Dry. Good for this year or next. Nothing celebrates Labor Day better than a long weekend of...not laboring. 😎

And in our world, nothing's more relaxing than having all the hard parts of getting out on the water - the hitch, the trailer, the parking, the boat ramp - totally off your plate. So you can stress less about all the details...and spend more time doing this. ⬇️

09/03/2026

We're glad to spend another weekend on the lake with you πŸ™Œ
Reminder! Service and storage customers enjoy exclusive access to our Lakeside Lounge. Coffee, snacks, water, ice, all waiting for you when you arrive. Fewer stops on the way here = a little more time out there. 😎

Dinner with a lake view - it's the perfect end to a day on the boat. Here's our top 5 places to eat right on the water: 🌊

🍽️ Chambers Landing Tahoe (Homewood) - the oldest bar on Lake Tahoe, dating back to 1875. Dock right at the pier, grab a Chambers Punch, and soak in unobstructed lake views. Historic charm, lively summer scene. A favorite among boaters.
🍽️ Za's Lakefront (North Shore) - This local North Tahoe favorite pairs delicious pizzas and Italian-American classics with a relaxed, mountain-casual vibe right along the shoreline.
🍽️ Gar Woods Lake Tahoe (Carnelian Bay) - a waterfront staple since 1988, known for its expansive deck and bay windows overlooking the lake and Sierras. A favorite for Sunday brunch.
🍽️ The Grove (Camp Richardson) - right on the sandy shore, with a big deck and a fire pit by the water. Known for the Rum Runner and live summer music. Dock access.
🍽️ Riva Grill Lake Tahoe (South Lake Tahoe, Ski Run Marina) - a 3,000-square-foot deck with standout sunsets, home of the Wet Woody.

🌊

Let's talk life jackets. You already know you need a US Coast Guard-approved PFD (personal flotation device) for every person on board your vessel - it's the law. But did you know:

βœ… Fit matters as much as type. A properly fitted PFD should be snug enough that it doesn't ride up over your chin or ears when you're floating.
βœ… Children under 13 are required by California law to wear a PFD while the vessel is underway (exceptions apply if they're in an enclosed cabin).
βœ… Foam-filled life jackets or buoyancy aids should be tested for wear and buoyancy at least once a year. Waterlogged, faded, or otherwise damaged devices should be discarded.
βœ… Check the label, not just the color. Type I, II, III, and V PFDs each have different intended uses - Type III is common for general boating and watersports, while Type I is best for open, rough, or remote water where rescue may be delayed.
βœ… Keep them accessible, not stowed away. PFDs stored in a locked cabinet or buried under gear don't count as "readily accessible" under California law.
βœ… Boats 16 feet or longer also need at least one throwable flotation device - like a ring buoy - in addition to wearable PFDs for everyone on board.
