I have carried almost daily for nearly 30 years exclusively in a vertical shoulder holster and it still fascinates me what people imagine will be a "real" tactical experience in daily life. In real life the odds are better than even that your assailant will almost be in touching distance of you when the conflict originate. In real life, there will be only one problem child and out of the starting gate you need to be able to stop him from snatching your gun. In real life, if you do manage to spin away from him and gun him down, you will be far ahead with a jury of 12 if you only need to shoot him once. I carry a 150 yr old design single action .45 LC. The hog leg s/a is the best pistol whipping close infighting thing you can grab from under your clothing. Until hammer is cocked it will not discharge, cocking is so fast and natural takes .1 seconds Accuracy from zero to 25 yards will match any compact plastic wonder. Will shoot ping pong balls off a fence post. Can be tactical reloaded from cover with ammo of your choice without pulling out the magazine. Save ammo and legal headaches. Shoot once and stop the drama.
