This Was Supposed to Be a Graphic Design Project

I opened Adobe InDesign to learn page layouts…
and somehow ended up writing a book about the philosophy of disc golf course design.

Into the Trees isn’t a manual—it’s about walking the land, listening to it, and letting the course reveal itself. Ten courses later, I’m still learning.

Please do not cut anything on the courses while playing. Just because something is in your way, doesn't mean it needs to be removed. Great care was taken during the design of both courses to ensure that the fairways were just that, fair ways to the basket. If you're in the rough, leave it that way and use that frustration to inspire a better throw next time. There are plenty of 'open' or 'easy' courses around the area, this isn't one of them and was never meant to be. Play safe and respect the course.

If you're playing the doubles event this weekend please stay away from the day-use/beach area as well as the cabins. Tournament central will be in the parking lot of the nature center. The state park is in the process of improving the property and we're fortunate that they're working with us to make the event possible. Due to the various projects, parking will be limited and the only bathrooms available will be in the campground area, please plan accordingly. Birdies and par to all, and don't forget to hug your partner throughout the weekend, no matter how many times they force you to throw out of the rough. -Davidson
