What do we have here? Couple Munro games I picked up today. And my old one that needs some work.

Maybe we should add a third tournament next summer? And work in Munro nights into our league gatherings?

The Chicago Suburban Table Hockey Association will be back at it playing on Sunday, Sept 6. We will set up at 5:30 p.m. and start dropping pucks at 6 p.m. at the usual spot, Davidson's in Homer Glen, which is near Orland Park. It's free to play. Food and drink available for purchase.

We'll be playing on the vintage Coleco-style games with the flat players.

Hope to see you Sunday, Sept. 6. Please shoot an email or text if you plan to make it so we can be sure to have enough games on hand.

Roman Nezhyba (CZE) won the Stiga Chicago Open, the first tournament of the new ITHF season. He defeated Ruslan Kobchuk (UKR) 4-1 in the final. Alfons Hermansson (SWE) took third over Paul Shabi (Detroit area/USA).

Dean Moore of Pittsburgh won the B pool over DarWIN Sampson of Madison, WI. Paul Gasiecki defeated Darrin Hummel for 3rd (both are from Chicago area).

C Group honors went to Roger Carlson over Dan Lord.

Thank you to everyone who played and supported the event. We’ll see you next year for more Stiga and Coleco table hockey action.

Congrats to Dan Henner of the Syracuse Table Hockey League for winning the 2026 Chicago Coleco Open tournament. He defeated Chicago's Dan Lord 3-1 in the Best of 5 finals. Third place went to Jeff Farwell, a suburban Chicago table hockey player making his return to tournament play. (We'll get a pic of the winners up when they text some to us.)

The B Pool went to Paul Gasiecki of Glendale Heights, IL over Tom Kearns of Pittsburgh 3-0. Taking third was Ken Guzman, who traveled down from Detroit to play.

We had some folks unable to make it due to health reasons and work reasons, and a couple of us were battling family illness and a lost beloved dog who we said goodbye to earlier in the day. We pushed on and held the event anyway, and I'm glad we did.

We livestreamed one of the semi-final series and the finals, and those video posts are up on this page.

We'll be back at it with an expected 21 players on Saturday in less than 12 hours. We will livestream the playoffs through this page.
