The Blairsville Eagles 1488 sponsored Hayshaker Tractor will finally see action tomorrow. First time back on a track since last August at South Buffalo Pullers where she literally pulled her rearend off pulling for Western Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors After spending the winter months of going thru a complete rear end transplant and a weight loss recovery, she is ready to get on the track and do what she does best. I will never be able to thank my son and grandson for all the hours they put into the project. For me, unless you have been there you will never understand, until you make that first run down the track and everything stays together, you are nothing but a NERVOUS diehard tractor puller. The butt cheeks will be puckered up tight sitting in the seat waiting to launch it down the track. We pullers are known to push our tractors to the max and then look for more. Tomorrow will be a day of guesses. The only thing we are certain about is what gear we are running. Weight distribution, rpms, and tire pressure are all "hope we get it right" issues. Driver observation and teammember feed back will be used to dial in those variables. The only thing certain is it that the concession stand will have plenty of food available from breakfast to dinner. One of our team members endured some serious surgery of his own over the winter and unfortunately will not be pulling his tractor, but will be there to support all of us pullers. I just hope he doesn't attempt to pull his latest ride. Come on out and enjoy a full day of pulling.
