How do we keep Holyoke oldest pool in operation? Our team drains the water, hand scrubs the tiles, conducts preventative maintenance repairs, buffs the pool deck, and refills with new water.

This two week endeavor ensures we can continue to have kids fall in love with the water, teens can have movie night in the pool, seniors to participate in water aerobics, and families to play at family swim.

Come stop by the Y next week to take a dip!

It is hard to believe but we are only 1 week away!

Next Thursday, September 10th we will be hosting our premiere fundraiser - Stronger Together A Night of Improv. The event will feature MC Lenny Jacobson, Improv Asylum and a night filled of laughter. All proceeds will benefit financial assistance for our community to access all programs and services, ensuring we never turn anyone away. If that doesn’t excite you, we also will have a Live Auction and Raffle!

There are only a handful of tickets left and none will be sold at the door. Come out and enjoy a great night with us!

At the Greater Holyoke YMCA, we believe impact means creating access, opening doors, building relationships, and giving our young people experiences and opportunities they may not otherwise have.

Last night was more than an event. It was a memory created, a barrier broken, and another opportunity for our community to see what’s possible when we come together.

We are excited to announce our Staff of the Month, Eliel Robles! Eliel practices patience, kindness, respect, and has fun engaging with each child who walks through our doors. He is always a team player willing to jump into everything from Afterschool & Summer Camp Programs to Child Watch, Kids Night Out, and monthly family engagement events.

From exploring greenhouses to learning about fresh water pond habitats, our kids are thriving through outdoor learning opportunities this summer. What does this mean?

Kids have loved catching frogs, crawfish, and other tiny creatures while analyzing them under a microscope, learned how to care for animals on a farm, how to grow crops, and even made pickles using fresh cucumbers!!

For decades, hundreds of kids and families would utilize the Afterschool and Summer camp entrance on Beech Street. While not an ideal location, it worked and helped serve our mission.

Today, we celebrate a dream come true - the new Youth Services Welcome Center!
