Driver shout outs from this past weekend with the MHDS Series.
All cars showed tons of speed this weekend. Lead the most laps just finished short both nights. The biggest heart break this weekend was Corey Howell’s right rear studs breaking off while leading. He had the fastest car on the track Saturday.
Shawn lead almost the whole feature Friday until losing at the line. Saturday lost a car off the trailer. Got it out the impound and got it ready for the heat race before he took a tumble. Got in a back up car drove from the back of the b to the front. Locking him into the A. Then drove from the back of the A to around 5th before losing a motor
I got hard charger Friday at Springfield should have changed tires a lot sooner. Saturday was running around 6th from 15th before breaking the left front.
Connar- lead laps Friday until getting shoved up and that allowed cars to get by. Saturday he came from the middle of the heat race to lead before getting dumped and busting a tire. B feature same thing hit the rr in a rut and lost the tire.
Ashley (Cash)- got a good jump in the heat race Friday before getting drove through. Went of for the B and made solid laps for her first time on the track. Saturday I believe we had a strut go dead so all night it was bouncing off the right front. But she made solid laps and we will get the car calmed down this week. We have really got her out her comfort zone and racing at several different tracks and she’s doing great. For her first year traveling and really getting to race a full season she’s doing a good job, the level of competition the series has is unmatched.
James Carter- Fridays results don’t speak for the speed he had got tangled up in a wreck early in the race losing a tire. Went to the back and drove back towards the front passing a ton of cars. Saturday he got tangled up in a wreck in the heat race causing him to finish at the tail. Ran from the back of the b to win it. The drove from 16th- 3rd in the A collecting the hard charger award.
Corey had a good showing at Springfield finished 5th. Saturday he ran off with the heat race win. Started 4th took the lead and had the fastest car on the track and looked like he was going to win it before the right rear expired.
Racer Costello- went 8th-3rd in the heat locking him into the feature. Started 3rd and fell back to 4th at the end but battled up front the whole race. Glad to see him back in a car and up front after his accident at neveda.
Thank you to all the drivers that trust in us and allow us to be apart of your success. If we can get a little bit of good luck on our side one of these cars will be in victory lane with the Midwest series!
