Holton Country Club is searching for a new Golf Course Superintendent. Over the last 7 years the focus of golf course improvement has been building stronger green complexes, converting fairways to zoysia and converting cart paths to concrete. The golf course has shown marked improvement over that time and we are proud of what’s been created. HCC membership is seeking a fulltime superintendent to care for the golf course and lead a team of employees/volunteers. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, dedicated and positive person to join the HCC team.

HCC enjoys a close working relationship with Firekeeper Golf Course. That relationship includes support and consultation in the form of advice & education on golf course care. The Superintendent will take the lead on that peer-to-peer communication with his/her counterpart at Firekeeper.

Future plans include continued conversion of fairways to zoysia, cart path improvement and cultivating/improving the green complexes. Additionally, a fundraising project is underway to rebuild the putting clock and first tee area.

The Superintendent will manage all day-to-day operations of the course. Must be able to participate in daily operations and supervise crew members, enforce safe working conditions and training of new employees, have experience in irrigation troubleshooting and repair.

Experience working in golf course management would be ideal, but not a must. Experience working with turf in some fashion preferable. Mechanical skill also a bonus. Must have a valid driver's license.

Salary commensurate with experience.
