I have fielded a few questions regarding the NWIA Junior Tour event we are hosting on Tuesday and have received some clarification from the directors that I will share.

This is a tournament only. They do offer an academy held in Lemars on Thursday mornings at Willow Creek in Lemars that runs from June 4 through July 17th. Information on that is at the clubhouse.

These tournaments are designed to get kids ready to play competitive golf in Middle School, High School and beyond. This means they do not allow parents to caddy or give advice during the round. Parents/family are allowed to follow, watch, and encourage. If there are rules questions, the older kids are encouraged to get together as a group and make a decision just like they will have to in High School, etc.

You do not have to compete in any of the other stops and can play Holstein only. There are several others close by so if they have a good experience they are welcome to play in more.

The July 28th Ladies 4 Ball Tournament Committee would like to let everyone know there is a plastic tote located in the NE corner of the bar room in the clubhouse for anyone that would like to donate items that could be used as door prize gifts. Monetary donations are also welcome!

HCC has it’s first Hole-in-One of the year. Ridge View State Qualifier Kellen Clausen was out practicing this afternoon May 21st for the upcoming State Tournament and holed out on #4 from 190 yards (blue tees) with a 6 iron. Congrats Kellen!
