El AS Mónaco de la temporada 1999/2000 fue campeón de la Liga de Francia, con un gran año de los delanteros David Trezeguet (22 goles) y Marco Simone (21 goles). Gracias a esos goles y el gran año de otros destacados jugadores como el Rafa Márquez, Christanval, Lamouchi, Giuly y el muñeco Marcelo Gallardo que fue el gran director de la orquesta.

Con 13 puntos de ventaja sobre el PSG consiguieron el séptimo título de su historia.
