Friday May 1 is opening day of catch and keep for rockfish. I have a good amount of dates still available out of Solomon’s. All light tackle, we will catch and release as well or move on to other fish to target. There are good numbers of low to mid 20 in fish in the shallows along with some true trophies mixed in as well. This year we changed things up, we will be fishing from a 29’ Hydra Sports to give us a fast, comfortable, roomy, dry ride along with plenty of fishing room. We will also be offering wreck fishing/sight fishing trips out of point lookout starting the end of May. Below is what is available out of Solomon’s and pricing.

Big changes are coming. Just took delivery of a 29 Hydra Sports center console. Starting this spring we will be running out of solomons for striped bass, and also will be running out of point lookout into Va water to do some wreck fishing. These trips will be full day trips with a chance at spade fish, sheepshead, bull reds, slot reds, cobia and more. Can take up to 6 passengers. All licenses, tackle, bait is provided. Light tackle trips. The boat will be set up with a full tower as well for sight fishing. Call or text 240-538-5180.

Had some time so I poured some more baits and did a couple of short videos one them and then put one of the new baits in front of a 40 in fish the other day. I have around 30 different molds with many different sizes. Can do custom to fit your needs. Another video and pics in comments. I will admit I don’t have high expectations today with the forecasted wind, I spoke to my crew last night and they decided to give it a try anyway. After all, you can’t catch them from the couch. We looked around for about an hour or so with nothing then found a little school and pulled one nice one out of it. About a half hour later the action started to heat up in areas I honestly wouldn’t have thought it would. For the next 4-5 hours it was game on in protected waters at that. Big fish had pushed bait up into 6-20 ft of water. Nothing like seeing 40 inch fish roll on the surface. I lost count after 30 fish boated. Everyone had several over 40 with some guys breaking their personal best several times today.

I have everything available starting next Monday for walk on or private trip. Call or text me at 240-538-5180. I can also ad you to a “walk on” list for when days open up. It’s shaping up to epic!!

Cost is $200 a person for walk on or
$750 for up to 4 for private charter then an additional 125 per person after 4. Can fish the bay or lower Potomac depending on if you want to keep fish or not. Running a 27 judge Chesapeake so you will definitely be comfortable. Come learn all the tricks and techniques to finding big fish and getting them to bite

First big one of the fall came over the rail yesterday, fishing was tough but we made the best of it getting on some quality fish. Found some bait and stuck with it. Pulled some nice mid 20 in fish out and Dave hooked into this nice 42 in.

Still have some prime dates fishing the lower Potomac where we can still keep a few fish as well as get on some trophy releases.
