🚨 Most young hitters are losing power before they even start their swing.

They want to hit harder, so they swing harder…

But they never create separation 👀

Why?

✔ Creates separation
✔ Keeps the hitter connected
✔ Helps stay behind the ball
✔ Generates more power without trying to swing harder

One simple cue:
➡️ Take the hands back.
➡️ Point the k**b to the catcher.

This helps hitters stay connected, stay behind the ball, and create power the right way 💎⚾🥎

The swing starts before the swing.

Do you teach this, or do you coach it differently? 👇🔥

🚨 This one mistake is making the game harder than it needs to be 👀⚾🥎

Most young hitters step AWAY from the ball…

Then parents wonder why they’re missing, rolling over, or struggling to make solid contact.

Try this: Draw a line behind their feet and challenge them not to cross it.

Simple drill. Big results. 💎

The closer you stay to the ball:
✔ Better contact
✔ Better barrel control
✔ More confidence
✔ More line drives

Sometimes it’s not about doing more… it’s about doing the simple things better. 🔥

Would you try this with your hitter? 👇

Most infielders are taught to wait for the throw in between the bases… but is that really the best position? 👀⚾🥎

I prefer setting up in front of the base.

Why?

✔ More room to adjust to bad throws
✔ Easier to move left or right
✔ Faster tag on the runner
✔ Better body control throughout the play

When you’re stuck in between the bases, a bad throw can leave you with nowhere to go. When you’re in front of the base, you can adjust, receive the ball, and apply the tag much quicker.

Good defense isn’t just about catching the ball, it’s about putting yourself in the best position to make any play 💎⚾🥎

What do you teach your players? 👇

Expect the bad throws and be ready 🤙🔥💦

Small hop vs staying on your toes for your prep step ⚾️🥎

Most infielders don’t realize this… but that “small hop every pitch” is costing them energy, rhythm, and consistency over a full game. With 100+ pitches, those extra movements add up fast and you start seeing it late in games.

Staying on your toes keeps you light, ready, and efficient every single pitch. No wasted movement, just game-speed reactions. 💪

Details matter. Energy matters. That’s what separates average infielders from consistent ones.

If this helped you or your player, share it with a coach or parent who needs to see this ⚾️🔥
