🥋 My Martial Arts Journey: From Queens to Kendall Hammocks Sunset 🥋

Hey there, wonderful followers! Today, I want to take you back in time and share a little piece of my own martial arts journey, a journey that has led me from the streets of Queens, New York, to the vibrant community of Kendall Hammocks Sunset right here in Miami. 🌆

It all began back in 1974 when I stepped into the world of martial arts under the guidance of the legendary Grand Master Pong Ki Kim. As a young soul navigating the bustling city of Queens, I found myself seeking guidance, discipline, and a path to channel my energy. Little did I know, this step would shape not just my physical abilities, but my character and perspective on life.

Through rigorous training and the teachings of Grand Master Kim, I discovered more than just kicks and punches. I learned about life skills and moral principles that became my guiding light. They helped me navigate the challenges of my teenage years, growing up in a single-parent home. The values instilled in me through martial arts provided me with the resilience and strength to overcome obstacles and thrive.

Now, fast forward 49 years, and here I am, standing before you as a proud torchbearer of those very same life skills and moral principles. The lessons I learned all those years ago have fueled my passion to give back to my community, especially here in the Kendall Hammocks area. This is a place where families come together, where children grow and thrive, and where every individual deserves the opportunity to develop their potential to the fullest.

Teaching martial arts in Kendall Hammocks Sunset isn't just a profession for me; it's a calling, a way to pay forward the transformative experiences that martial arts has blessed me with. Every class I lead, every technique I teach, and every smile I see on a student's face reminds me of the incredible impact that martial arts can have on shaping lives.
