PEPPY SUMMER POCO
(COCHISE WAR STAR x PANAS POCO TARI)

Poco is a May 2010 registered paint gelding. He very easy to ride, more whoa than go, we use him for western dressage or general riding. He’s a safe horse but he is lazy and will take the easy way out without a directive rider. He’s an easier keeper and is big boy at 15.3. I have use him to teach to beginners in the past.

We don’t trail ride but the few times we have gone out as a group, he has been good. Come check him out! I think he could be a husband horse, great all around horse, lesson horse, kids horse; but I will let you be the judge of that!

We are looking to add a team member at Double A Equine Services in Hollywood, MD.

Typical work hours are weekdays 3:30-8 and weekend between 9:30-2. No need to work every day, 3-4 days a week would be nice with a flexible schedule. Days are scheduled at the end of the month for the following month. I am very flexible with days off with notice. Pay is based on experience. Reliable transportation is a must. High school students are welcome to apply. Experience with horses desired but we can teach you if you are willing to learn.

The job consists of caring for horses: Feeding, water, cleaning stalls, brushing horses, and getting horses ready for work or lessons, and potentially working horses. Each shift is about 1.5 hours of horse care and the rest is working with horses. Lots of opportunities to learn about horses and improve your horsemanship!

Most of the horses in the barn are Morgans and my specialty is Morgans and Western Dressage. Most of the horses in the barn are world champions in various levels of western dressage.

The Double A crew has made it to the Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show in Oklahoma City, OK! Horses have had since this past Sunday to settle in and they have all been wonderful for work. We can’t wait to start showing on Saturday - wish us luck! 🐴🏆

And just like that the New York Morgan Regional Horse Show has come to an end and the Double A team is on their way home! This show had plenty of ups and downs but we learned plenty and made lots of friends! Thank you to everyone who had a hand (or hoof) in our show team - we couldn’t have done it without you! 🐴🏆 🗽
