Thanks to all our dancers and their families who showed some Dance Arts love at the HollyDays parade yesterday!

We had a great group of dancers/walkers/riders, some wonderful volunteers who helped decorate, and many who donated candy and fresh flowers to pass out to the crowd. Just another reminder that our Dance Arts family is the best!

✨ MEET OUR INSTRUCTORS: KHADIJA FOREMAN! ✨

We’re kicking off our 2026–2027 dance season TODAY, and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than by introducing you to the last member of our teaching team!

Say hello to Ms. Khadija Foreman, who will be teaching Hip Hop 1 & 2 this season!

Khadija’s love for dance began at just 6 years old. With a natural passion for movement, she continued to develop her skills and experience in hip hop, jazz, drill/step, and cheerleading. Her love for the arts eventually expanded beyond dance into acting, poetry, music, guitar, and creative production.

With years of experience working with children, Khadija brings patience, positivity, and encouragement into the classroom. She believes in helping each dancer grow not only in their skills, but also in their confidence. We’re so excited to have her bringing her energy, creativity, and love of hip hop to Dance Arts of Holly!

When she’s not dancing, Khadija enjoys spending time with her family, baking, watching movies, game nights, editing videos, and coming up with fun, creative projects. And, of course, she’s a proud cat lover!

We are so excited to have Ms. Khadija as part of our Dance Arts of Holly family and can’t wait to see what this season brings! 💜🩵

Happy first day of the 2026–2027 dance season! Let’s make it our best one yet!

✨ MEET THE INSTRUCTORS: ROXANNE ✨

Today we’re shining the spotlight on someone who has been a very special part of Dance Arts of Holly from the very beginning—Roxanne Jones, Owner & Co-Director!

Roxanne’s love of teaching and working with children began long before Dance Arts of Holly. She started gymnastics at just 6 years old and competed through age 16. She then spent more than 20 years teaching preschool through advanced gymnastics and coaching competitive gymnastics at Cain’s Academy in Tennessee. She also ran a daycare in her home for 20 years!

After returning to Michigan, Roxanne began teaching acro and creative movement at a local dance studio. In 2016, she and her daughter, Danielle, took a leap of faith and opened Dance Arts of Holly together.

Today, Roxanne teaches preschool combo, preschool tap, acro 1–3, and stretch & strength. Her years of experience, patience, and genuine love for children shine through in every class she teaches. She has a special gift for making even our youngest dancers feel comfortable, confident, and excited to learn!

When she’s not at the studio, Roxanne loves spending time with her three grandchildren and her two favorite furry friends, Gus the rabbit and Finn the dog .

From competitive gymnastics to coaching, teaching, and now building Dance Arts of Holly with her daughter—Roxanne has dedicated decades to helping children learn, grow, and have fun. We’re incredibly lucky to have her as part of our studio family! 💜

Stay tuned as we introduce the final member of our teaching team later this week!

✨ MEET THE INSTRUCTORS: MS. DANIELLE ✨

We’re kicking off our instructor spotlight series by introducing one half of the duo that started it all!

Meet Danielle Tucker, Owner & Director of Dance Arts of Holly!

Originally from Tennessee, Danielle began dancing at just 8 years old, with ballet quickly becoming her primary focus. Her passion for dance led her to perform with Ballet Arts Inc., train with prestigious programs including Nashville Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, and The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, and perform with several professional dance companies.

After moving to Michigan, Danielle discovered another passion—teaching and choreographing. What began as teaching ballet at a local studio eventually led to the dream of opening Dance Arts of Holly alongside her mother, Roxanne.

Today, Danielle teaches ballet, pointe, contemporary, and jazz at the studio. She loves helping dancers grow not only as performers, but also as confident, hardworking individuals who truly love what they do.

When she’s not at the studio, Danielle enjoys baking, photography, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Zach, and their three children, Noah, Elliana, and Alden.

25+ years of dancing. 10+ years of teaching. And now 10 years of Dance Arts of Holly. We’re so grateful Danielle’s passion for dance brought her to Holly—and ultimately brought all of us together.

Stay tuned as we introduce the rest of our incredible Dance Arts of Holly teaching team this week!
