Good morning this is just a reminder that the Dixon High School FFA Mum Sale is still going on until September 10th. Thank you to everyone that has purchased a mum so far. Mums will be available for pickup at Dixon High School on Thursday, September 23rd. Good afternoon everyone, NCFFA is putting on Wildlife Camp this year from September 18th-20th at NC FFA Center in White Lake, NC. This camp discusses topics related to wildlife and fishery conservation and this isn’t a weekend of sitting in a classroom—you’ll get outside and choose from hands-on sessions like archery, shotgun, trapping, trail cameras, scouting for whitetails, fish surveys, farming for wildlife, decoy carving, outdoor photography, waterfowl conservation, and more. Please look at the attached flyer and camp schedule for more information. If you want to attend, you must have completed the NC Hunter's Education Course and plan to be an FFA member this upcoming school year. It also costs $130 to attend. If you are interested in attending, please let Mr. Metts (email is [email protected]) know by next Friday, August 7th!

On Monday and Wednesday of this our FFA students came to help clean up around our Agriculture barn and greenhouse to get ready for the upcoming school year. We are a very thankful for their help!

Good morning! This week, one of our FFA members, along with our advisors, had the opportunity to attend FFA Camp at the NC FFA Center in White Lake. We had an incredible time enjoying a wide variety of fun sports and connecting with FFA members from all across the state. The experience was both exciting and memorable, and we’re already looking forward to hopefully bringing an even bigger group of students to camp next year!

This week we had the best time at the 97th North Carolina State FFA Convention! We were able to bring 11 students and an awesome parent chaperone with us! We received the Silver Chapter Award, and Cooper Lanier received his proficiency award for his SAE project on Landscape Installation!

We competed in Meat Evaluation, Milk Quality, Food Science and Tool Identification! Izzy Conn had the highest score in Meat Evaluation for our region! We had tremendous success in competitions, learned a lot, had some hiccups, but overall each student walked away having an amazing learning experience!
