Holliston Bike Park

Holliston Bike Park This is the page for the proposed bike park/pump track to be built on a location in Holliston that is yet to be determined.

We are working with the Holliston Parks and Recreation Department to identify a suitable site, as well as engaging with other town leaders to seek approvals and support for this project. We are also partnering with our local NEMBA (New England Mountain Bike Association) chapter to help with planning, construction and future maintenance. If you would like to contribute, please join our accompanying Holliston Bike Park group!

Holliston Bike Park is finally becoming a reality!

After nearly three years of planning, design, fundraising, permitting, bidding, and a whole lot of persistence, we are incredibly excited to share that we have signed a construction contract and work on the Holliston Bike Park will begin soon.

What started as a concept has grown into a thoughtfully designed community bike park, and now, finally, into a project that will be built. Our current target is to have the park completed by May 2027.

Getting here has taken an incredible amount of work. We have navigated the design and engineering process, secured public funding, raised private donations, worked through the competitive bidding process, and overcome plenty of challenges along the way. Through it all, this community continued to believe in the vision.

To everyone who donated, shared our fundraising efforts, attended meetings, offered advice, volunteered time, helped with the design, supported the project through town processes, or simply told us that you were excited to see this happen, thank you. This park would not be moving forward without you.

We are especially grateful to those who put their faith in this project early, when there was nothing more than a vision and a plan. Your support helped get us to this moment.

With construction now moving forward, we are opening one final round of fundraising. Our goal is to build a small reserve that can help us add amenities and address maintenance needs as they arise after construction is complete.

And for those who have been waiting for the right opportunity to contribute, this is the final opportunity to have your name or organization recognized on donor signage at the park.

If you have supported us already, thank you. If you have been following along and have been waiting to see this project become real, now is the time.

We cannot wait to see this dream become a reality and, most importantly, see the Holliston community riding it. Thank you for helping us get here.

While we eagerly await the final word on the construction timeline of the Holliston Bike Park, here’s a great opportunity to get the kids out on bikes and connect with some of the same volunteers who are helping make Holliston Bike Park a reality.

The inaugural PMC Kids Rides MTB event is coming to West Hill Dam in Uxbridge, MA on Saturday, August 29, and it’s shaping up to be a great morning on the trails.

West Hill Dam has an awesome bike skills area and trail network, much of it built and maintained by the same local mountain bike volunteers who have been working to build the mountain biking community across the region, including the Holliston Bike Park.

The ride will feature two kid friendly routes, approximately 1 mile and 3 miles, with trails, climbs, descents, rocks and roots for riders ages 5 to 17. It’s not a race. It’s a chance to get kids riding, have some fun with other local families, and support an incredible cause.

Even better, 100% of rider raised dollars go directly to Dana Farber Cancer Institute to support cancer research and treatment.

Saturday, August 29
West Hill Dam, Uxbridge
9:00 am to 12:30 pm
Ages 5 to 17
$20 registration + $40 fundraising commitment

So while we wait for the next Holliston Bike Park update, get the kids on their bikes and come ride with us at West Hill Dam!

Exciting News for Holliston! 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

The Holliston Bike Park is moving forward and is expected to be completed before the end of the year!

The Friends of Holliston Trails contributed a $10,000 matching grant to help make this exciting community project a reality. Thanks to the generosity of local donors, that match was successfully met.

A special thank you goes to Ed Daniels and Real Estate Group for their generous $3,000 donation. Their contribution helped push the project across the finish line and closer to becoming a reality for residents of all ages.

Recently, the Vesta team met with members of Bike Park project and board members from the Friends of Holliston Trails to celebrate this important milestone and recognize the community support that has fueled the effort.

The Holliston Bike Park will be a fantastic new amenity for our town, providing opportunities for recreation, skill development, and outdoor fun for years to come. We can't wait to see it open!

We did it.

At Town Meeting last night, the community approved $650,000 in CPC funding for construction of the Holliston Bike Park, officially moving the project into its next phase.

After years of work, collaboration, and community support, the Holliston Bike Park is officially moving forward.

The attached photos show an early visit to 260 Woodland St, where a small group of original supporters walked the site to imagine what could be. At the time, it was a cleared field of gravel and dirt. That space will soon become a lasting community landmark.

Since September 2023, this project has grown far beyond what we first imagined. What started as an idea has been shaped by ongoing collaboration and feedback from across town.

We’re deeply grateful for the support and partnership of Holliston Parks and Recreation, the Holliston Conservation Commission, the Community Preservation Committee, and the Selectboard. Their input helped shape this into a stronger project for the entire community.

Special thanks to Avid Trails for taking our feedback and turning it into a thoughtful design that reflects both rider needs and the spirit of Holliston, with careful attention to the surrounding environment.

Thank you to our fellow Holliston residents who voted in favor of this funding and to all of our financial supporters:

Community Organizations:
- Friends Of Holliston Trails
- Celebrate Holliston
- Holliston Newcomers & Neighbors
- New England Mountain Bike Association

Local Businesses:
- Vesta Real Estate Group
- Gleeson Powers Inc
- Paul Macrina Electrical Contracting
- Green Logic Builders

And to the 100+ individual donors who made this possible, thank you. This project wouldn’t be here without you.

What’s Next:

We’ll work with Parks and Recreation to put the project out to bid, aiming to finish by mid July. After that, construction can begin.

Construction is expected to take 2 to 3 months at the earliest following the completion of the bidding process. Our ambitious goal is a Fall completion, with the park ready for the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year.

More updates to come as we enter this exciting next phase.

We have more exciting progress to share on the Holliston Bike Park as we head into May!

CPC Funding – Final Vote on May 11th
Our $650,000 Community Preservation Committee (CPC) funding request has advanced to the final step and will be voted on at the Annual Town Meeting on May 11th. This is a critical milestone. We encourage all supporters to attend and vote in favor to help bring the bike park to life.

Conservation Approval Secured
We’ve officially received approval on our Notice of Intent from the Conservation Commission. This is a major step forward and confirms that the project meets local environmental requirements.

Fundraising Milestone Reached
Thanks to incredible community support, we’ve met our initial $33,000 fundraising goal. This includes the full $10,000 matching contribution from Friends of Holliston Trails, as well as a $5,000 Signature Trail Grant from NEMBA. We will continue fundraising to support additional features and long term maintenance of the park.

New Bike Park Rendering
We’re excited to share a newly updated rendering of the bike park design, giving a clear vision of what’s to come. This reflects the thoughtful planning that has gone into creating a space for riders of all ages and skill levels.

How You Can Help
-Attend Town Meeting on May 11th and vote yes on CPC funding
-Continue to donate and support future phases and maintenance
-Help spread the word and build community support

Thank you for being part of this effort. With your continued support, we are getting closer to making the Holliston Bike Park a reality.
