Northeast Longhorns

Northeast Longhorns PG NE League ⚾️ program - teams from 10u-17u. For over a decade, we have put training/development as the top priority for our program!

Anderson Baseball Academy is an indoor baseball and softball training facility specializing in private, semi-private, and small group instruction for players of all ages and skill levels. We instruct players from the beginner level all the way to the college/pro level. In our instruction, we work hard to speed up the learning process for baseball players by utilizing video analysis, drillwork, mea

surement and goal setting. Right View Pro Video Analysis
Our training process starts with our state of the art video analysis system from Right View Pro. We video each individual player the first time they step foot in our facility to help the coaches and players understand where they currently stand mechanically. The Right View Pro system allows us to view hitters and pitchers side by side with the best Major League baseball players in the game today. This visual guide helps players see where their areas of strength currently are and also see the movement patterns that need to be more efficient. Objective Measurement
Objective measurement is another staple of our training at Anderson Baseball Academy. We believe if you want to improve something, you must measure it! We have a number of different measurement tools such as a radar gun, stop watch, bat speed radar, and the new target pad that allow us to measure everything we do from our pitching, hitting, fielding, core training, agility training, etc. Objective measurement helps us give players feedback on where they stand the first day they step in our facility and how much they've improved as we continue from session to session. This also gives players a clear intent and purpose in every activity we do in our practices. We can set short term and long term goals for each individual player, which is a great approach to anything you do in your life (not just baseball). Mission Statement
Our instructors WILL NOT try to cookie cut, clone, or strictly choreograph individuals into one ideal mechanical model. There have never been two pitchers who have thrown the ball the exact same way, and you'll never see two hitters who swing the bat exactly the same way. Therefore, we will not train every hitter or pitcher to swing or throw according to one ideal mechanical style or model (in our opinion, it doesn't exist!). At Anderson Baseball Academy, we will never use a ONE SIZE FITS ALL approach to training today's baseball athlete. It is our job to develop each individual into the most athletic, explosive, and efficient model of him/herself that he/she can be. Pitching Instruction
The goal of training the pitching athlete is to improve velocity, command, and movement while maintaining a healthy, durable arm/body. We teach the players an extensive warm-up to wake up the body from feet to fingertip. The warm-up develops flexibility, stability, coordination, speed, and strength in all the joints and muscle fibers from head to toe. Our pitchers learn a number of different drills focused on movement segments in their delivery that help them improve velocity (acceleration phase) and protect the soft tissue in the shoulder and elbow (deceleration phase). Hitting Instruction
The goal for training the hitting athlete is to improve power, consistency, and efficiency. We also go through the same type of warm up with our hitters as we do with the pitchers, with the exception of arm care. With pitchers and hitters, any mobility, stability, or flexibility limitation in the joints or muscles can prevent our body from performing our movements with mechanical efficiency. This can lead to injury, a lack of power, or a lack of control over the body to make consistent contact. In order to defeat our opponent as a hitter we need to work on delivering the barrel ON TIME, ON RHYTHM, ON PLANE, ON THE SWEET SPOT, WITH MAXIMUM FORCE (Efficient Mechanics).
