Looking forward to seeing everyone at the pool, starting next week!

Reminder as we begin 2026:
Dogs cannot persistently bark while on the property. This can especially be an issue for dogs crated in cars while other dogs are swimming.

I understand the dogs are excited and often highly aroused, but barking persistently can't be tolerated by any of us.

The folks managing the pool will address it and we need everyone using the pool to help us as well.

Some options:
* If the weather permits, close your car to muffle the sound.
* You may use the three kennels behind the willow tree, if you feel your dog will be calmer there.
* If necessary, you may ask to park on the other side of the property.
* In extreme cases, ask and we'll allow you to place a crate in the barn and crate there, where the sound should be contained.

If none of this works for you, we'll reluctantly have to ask you to book separate appointments and only bring one dog at a time.
We appreciate everyone's help and cooperation.

Hey all - We're bummed to announce that we'll be losing Kaylee's amazing presence at the pool. We're happy for her and this next chapter and we're forever grateful that she helped us get the pool up and running!

Outside of missing Kaylee's presence, plans remain the same for 2026 at Hollister Dog Sports, we'll open the pool in the Spring.

That said, we will be on the lookout for someone who could help us by teaching Intro to Swimming classes as well as someone who might be interested in managing the pool, a few days a week.

So if you know of anyone who fits that description, put them in touch with us!

We are going to start a new Agility Class at Hollister Dog Sports early this year. This class will focus on sequence and course work, for teams that already have had some training.

It requires that your dog be familiar with the obstacles, although if there's one or two (like weaves or Dog Walk) you are not familiar with, you can skip them until your dog learns them.

The class will be held on Thursdays, starting somewhere between 10-12 (depending on the time of year). A maximum of 8 dogs per session can attend. I'll set up a FB Group or Message to arrange class each week and find out who can attend.

It's a drop-in class, so you can come some weeks and not others and only pay when you come. The cost is $40 per dog and will last between 60 and 180 minutes, depending on how many dogs we get at any given session.

If you are interested and it sounds like the right kind of class for you, let me know and I will include you in communications as we get things set up.

Shore Road is undergoing construction and will be for a while. You should allow for extra time when coming and also look for alternate routes if possible. For example, taking 152 to San Felipe Road may be faster.

With credit (and our thanks) going to Toby Crawford and Craig Simberg, we're ready to go for 2025, with a new lower dock and turf on the lower dock and ramp!
