We were honored to surprise the Alvernaz family with the unveiling of The Kelly Freitas Room, dedicated in memory of their daughter, Kelly Freitas.

The name was first suggested by a San Juan Oaks employee during an internal contest to rename our former Private Dining Room and was ultimately selected by our management and ownership team.

Kelly was the late wife of longtime San Juan Oaks employee and current General Manager Manny Freitas, and her memory has remained closely connected to SJO through the Kelly Freitas Memorial Golf Tournament and Scholarship. Kelly’s warmth, courage, optimism, and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her, and her legacy continues today through the local students supported by the scholarship.

We are honored to celebrate Kelly’s memory and carry her name forward as part of the San Juan Oaks community.
