Allegheny Mountain Swimming is proud to celebrate one of our own — Jamy Pfister — who was inducted into the PA Sports Hall of Fame, Robert “Tick” Cloherty Western Chapter, on May 2, 2026 at Station Square in Pittsburgh.
Jamy served as a USA Swimming official for 48 years (1970-2018), officiated 7 USA Olympic Trials, served as Chief Judge at the 1991 World Games, and helped shape the national standard for chief judging across the country. She received the prestigious Pettigrew Award for Service to USA Swimming in 2005, and was previously inducted into the Pennsylvania Aquatics Hall of Fame in 2014. She joins a class of 10 outstanding Western PA sports figures in what is the region’s most storied sports recognition.
Jamy was nominated by Melanie Miller of South Fayette — a fitting tribute from within the swimming community that knows her best. In attendance to celebrate her were Coach Georgianne Barry, official Scott Wilshire, and her husband Jay, son Michael, grandson Brady, granddaughter Shannon, and Shannon’s husband Marcus.
Congratulations, Jamy. 48 years of service. Seven Olympic Trials. A career that defined excellence in swimming officiating — and a legacy that will last far beyond the pool deck. We are so proud.
