T-E-N years ago today Josh and I and our 3 small children welcomed home The Tumblebus to Blair County as the Tumblebus arrived on a flat bed trailer delivered from Louisville, KY. I was so nervous and scared to know what the future held with a new business and such a young family. I have been blessed by so much love and support from our community, the families and so many sweet kids over the past 10 years, my heart is overwhelmed! I am truly thankful for each and every person who has stepped foot on The Tumblebus and who have helped make my business such a success! (You all know who you are!)
I spent today sifting through pictures and videos on my computer and trying to wrap my head around...”where 10 years have gone”! I’ve laughed and cried as I looked through pictures and saw so many sweet faces and fun memories that have gotten me to where we are today...and for that I am ever so thankful!
After surfacing from my computer, I decided I wanted to take a bear out to the bus window so that any family who is out on a “Bear Hunt” while we are in the crazy state of quarantine, could see my Tumblebus Bear 🐻 in hopes of continuing to put smiles on kids faces! I found myself in a puddle of tears standing on my empty bus that is still decorated for St Patrick’s Day, knowing that my Tumblebus business in closed and this isn’t how I had envisioned celebrating 10 years! I came back inside to big hugs from Josh and as I dried my tears I turned to my dining room to find a birthday party set up by the kids and Josh! We enjoyed taking silly “Quarantine Birthday” pictures and quickly my tears turned to smiles and laughter! This too shall pass and I am looking forward to getting back to our normal Tumblebus routine with all of my sweet kiddos! Hang in there everyone, and if you are out on a “Bear Hunt” make sure to beep when you see the Tumblebus Bear so that I know you are out there! (Or take a picture with the Tumblebus and post it to my page)

The generous folks at Lightening Bug Gift Company (a super sweet store in downtown Hollidaysburg) have teamed up with local businesses affected by the current COVID-19 epidemic. Their “Printing Local Love” campaign will offer T-shirts sporting the Tumblebus logo. Tumblebus, like many local businesses, had to close its doors last week to do its part to limit the potential spread of the Corona virus. ‪March 28, 2020‬ marks my 10th year in business and due to the current situation, I will be unable to celebrate this milestone with my Tumblebus kids. Tumblebus has received warm and heartfelt support from the community, its families and their children over the past decade – I simply have been blessed beyond words. In these trying times, I ask you to consider purchasing a Tumblebus T-shirt and support two local businesses with one purchase.
