🚨 BOSTON QUALIFYING ALERT 🚨

Planning to BQ on a downhill course? The rules just changed.

Starting with the 2027 qualifying window, the B.A.A. is adding time penalties for races with significant net elevation drop:

📉 1,500–2,999 ft drop → +5:00 added to your time
📉 3,000–5,999 ft drop → +10:00 added to your time
🚫 6,000+ ft drop → No longer qualifies AT ALL

These adjustments are applied automatically when you submit your result. So if you ran 2:58 on a course with a 2,500 ft drop, your submitted time becomes 3:03.
