They stow away close to the boat as to stay tucked out of the way. You can keep these rods stowed like this while you are running to your spot or while the boat is in the slip or to the launch. Plus this creates more storage on the boat because you can keep the rods in these holders all day or all season. Opening up other storage spots for more rods.
