West Side Lacrosse is excited and proud to welcome Chris Scheldt as our new Director of Player Development!
Chris brings a wealth of coaching experience and a passion for developing athletes both on and off the field. During his time with Hope College Men’s Lacrosse, he helped lead the Flying Dutchmen achieve multiple milestones including, 6 MIAA Championships, an undefeated regular season and a postseason Elite 8 run, while also building a strong culture centered on character, growth and team.
Alongside his work at Hope, Chris has over a decade of Travel Lacrosse Coaching experience and has helped build lacrosse athletes of all ages all over Michigan. Chris is going into his 2nd year as the Varsity Head Coach for Zeeland High School Lacrosse, where he has made an immediate impact on the players and culture while investing in the next generation of players.
Now, Coach Scheldt is bringing that experience, energy and commitment to West Side. We’re thrilled to have him leading player development and helping our athletes reach their full potential.
And behind every great coach is a great family. Chris is supported by his wife, Megan, and their son, Bowden, who are excited to cheer him on in this next chapter.
