Normally, this is the time of year we’d be getting everything ready for the season, excited for another summer on the beach.
But this one looks a little different.
After 20 summers, we are closing this chapter of Macatawa Boat House.
Twenty summers. Thousands of rentals. Sunburns, sand everywhere, campers sprinting across Ottawa Beach, youth groups spread out over the water, and families who came back year after year.
Macatawa Boat House has always been more than a rental stand. It’s been people. It’s been community.
To our Boat House crew — thank you!
You were the heart of this place. The early mornings, the long days in the sun, the energy you brought to every renter, and the way you took care of people — it mattered. You weren’t just employees, you became family to us. The experience so many people loved about the Boat House was because of you. We truly could not have done this without you.
We’re stepping into a new season — one where we get to spend more time with our own family and experience summer on the lake in a different way. And we’re really excited about that.
We are so proud of what we built and deeply grateful for the trust this community gave our family.
The beach will always be home. 🌊
