This is a priceless picture. Tristen Benson hits a three run home run to beat Minden 7 to 3 in district Baseball. And yes, I brought this home from the husker games and we practiced it in the spring high school season. Absolutely love it. Great win!!! Now go beat McCook today.!

Good luck to the Phelps medical group Junior Legion Baseball team. They will play Plattsmouth tonight at 7 o’clock in Wayne Nebraska.
A big shout out to the players and the young coaches, coach Keagan Steinke, and coach Beau Jensen, considering they only had three starters coming back from last year. We also had some very awesome kids from other towns that joined in with this group of baseball players. Junior Legion Baseball coaches are the hardest coaches to find. They have to love the game of Baseball. They have to get to the ballfield every day around 3 o’clock and a lot of times they stay until 10 or 11 o’clock at night.  For those of us who are past players and past coaches of Legion Baseball, this team surprised all of us with their talent and their ability to come together as a team. This speaks volumes of the parents cooperation, all of the coaches and players. Good luck tonight at State baseball in Wayne.

Holdrege beats Maxwell North Platte Saint Pats 12 to 5 and Adam Central comes to Holdrege and wins 9 to 4 over the dusters on Thursday. Monday we travel to York to meet Wayne halfway. Trying to gain momentum as we are almost 1/2 way through the season.

It was quite the week of Baseball For the Dusters. We had a doubleheader on Tuesday beating Palmyra 10-3 and leading the top five team of Adam Central 3-0 going into the sixth inning only to lose it in the seventh 4 to 3. Then on Thursday, we travel to Fairbury and got a 9- 5 win in the varsity and an 8-2 victory in the junior varsity. 
Friday we faced the #1 Central City leading that game 7 to 6 going into the top of the seventh here in Holdrege. We got two outs in the top of the seventh walked a batter and they’re next to hitters hit doubles over our outfielders heads and went ahead 8 to 7. We were unable to score in the bottom of the seventh losing 8 to 7. We are finding an identity with this young group of Baseball players. Tuesday we go to North Platte and play a doubleheader against Maxwell Saint Pats. 
We have a record of 3 wins and 4 losses with the four losses coming against rated teams.

Holdrege high school baseball coming together with a very young team. Battled and lead a top 5 team in the state the whole game, until the last inning. We need to build from here and not look back at where we started. Great games Duster baseball!!
