It is less than months until I turn 40.
Physically I don’t feel any different from my 20’s and I’m determined to keep it that was for as long as I can.

Works every time

I don’t know who’s been working harder, me or the shorts.

Once you reap the rewards of what a strong, athletic and aesthetic body gets you, you never want to stop.
It takes a lot of time and dedication, but it’s incredibly worth it. The extra energy you have, the things you are able to do, and the self confidence it brings you - and that translates to a lot of things in life.

If you have trouble staying consistent: think about what your goals are. Think about why you started in the first place. But also honor the time you set aside for working out, it should take the same priority as anything else that is important to you.

If you’ve ever wondered what the best exercise for fat loss is, then this is the answer - walking. There is a reason why you constantly hear that you should get your daily steps in.

Almost everyone can do it, it requires no equipment, it’s free, you can do it every day, and you don’t feel more hungry afterwards. Increasing your steps each day can have a major impact on your current goals (and it doesn’t feel like you are changing too much).

If you have the opportunity to add more walking into your daily routine - then take it. Besides the physical health benefits, you’ll also feel better mentally. It doesn’t have to be a long hike, just a walk around the block works fine.

Will a run for the same amount of time burn more calories? - yes it will.
Are you able to run every day? - probably not.
If the distance is the same, are the calories burned between walking and running the same? - running does burn a bit more, but they are actually close enough.
If you’ve already done a workout, will you be motivated to also do a run that day? - most likely not.
But would adding an afternoon walk feel like “a lot” to add to that day? - not really.

Regardless of where you are in your fitness journey, adding more (or starting) walking is something I highly recommend.
