One parent whose kid made the all-tournament team is looking at a kid that just won the MVP award and they are thinking "Man, I wish MY kid won MVP."
A parent whose kid hit a homerun is looking at the kid that made all tournament team thinking "I wish MY kid made all-tournament team."
A parent whose kid didn't get a hit all weekend is looking at the kid that hit the homerun like "I wish MY kid hit a homerun."
A parent whose kid barely touched the field is looking at the kid that didn't get a hit all weekend and thinking "I wish MY kid had the opportunity to at least play."
A parent whose kid became physically disabled due to an accident is looking at the kid on the bench thinking "We'd give anything just to be at the field on a sunny day, enjoying friends, watching kids laugh and play...no matter what position my kid plays or if we win or lose."
A parent who lost a child is looking at the physically disabled kid and thinking "I just wish my child were here."
