A rare statement from us on FIFA and world cup tickets.
We believe FIFA should reevaluate their ticket pricing for the World Cup 2026. It's currently unaffordable for most American soccer families, and we are missing the opportunity to inspire the next generation.
We ask FIFA to introduce a comprehensive youth pricing system, and lower prices overall to fix this - particularly during the current energy crisis. We ask this solution not be just window-dressing.
Host city hotels are not selling their rooms, sponsors are cancelling their plans, and international travellers are coming in less numbers than expected. Parking, hotels, trains - it's all overpriced.
We hope FIFA can see this trend and reverse course. Introducing a significantly reduced youth pricing system, like we see in Europe, and lowering prices overall will solve many of FIFA's problems.
We are telling our friends to hold off buying tickets until they price come down considerably, because most of these group stage games will NOT sell out at current prices.
We hope FIFA remember that sometimes, doing the right thing for our youth can be very rewarding
