Sailing at Stevens:

The Stevens Sailing Team makes it possible to combine the unforgettable experience of collegiate sailing with the unique undergraduate experience that Stevens Institute of Technology offers to their students. Students with any amount of sailing experience are more than welcome to join the yacht club at any time. Stevens Sailing Team:

Stevens sailing team travels almost every

weekend during the fall and spring semester to away regattas to compete against other schools in the MAISA conference. At the away regattas we compete on Club 420s and FJs. Dinghy sailing does require certain gear. Once it starts to get cold we wear drysuits and lots of layers, so you will want to most likely invest in some gear of your own. Another must have are life jackets, they are required 24/7 when you are on the water. For more information on gear please contact the commodore for recommendations and discounts. In addition, team members pay annual dues each semester. A great aspect of the sailing team is that the time commitment of the sailing team can be flexible, and can work with most schedules. So please do not hesitate to talk to an officer about joining the team.

Stevens Sailing did great this weekend at the Henry Luce Regatta. Stevens placed 6th overall qualifying us for the War Memorial regatta on October 28th.

On Saturday the wind was light, and the fleet was only able to sail two races. On Sunday the wind picked up, and it was a blast.

Stevens sailing had a great time this weekend (September 18th) at SUNY Maritime. It looked a little glassy on Sunday, but the conditions were still good for a weekend of sailing. Freshmen Townsend, and Lauren sailed their first regatta as ducks this weekend as well.
