Move well, Move Often = Is my Mantra this past few weeks. It's been a few months since I added the certification to my teachings and it has made all the difference! What I love most about this system is that it is centered on the integrity of correcting movement dysfunction to allow and create more mobility and stability in the body.

Integrating this with the classical pilates system has been life changing. I am able to connect the dots faster and teach more efficiently while staying consistent with developing a keen eye when watching a body perform specific movements (on or off an apparatus). I am able to identify where compensation in the body happens much sooner.

When I was going through my pilates certification, I came across this term: proprioception. Since then, I've stayed curious about this and wanted to learn more and more about how this works and how to teach with this in mind. I think understanding this concept plus adding the FMS Screen helped me appreciate what we do as classical pilates instructors. If you're curious here's a good read: https://www.sports-health.com/sports-injuries/general-injuries/proprioception-making-sense-body-position #:~:text=How%20Does%20Proprioception%20Work%3F,muscles%2C%20tendons%2C%20and%20ligaments.

If you are a serious fitness buff or just want to understand how to get to your fitness goals more effectively and simply - quicker. Taking the time to understand each movement before moving often is key! You'll get more out of your workout!

DM anytime me for questions! It's such an amazing thing when you're able to fix your own form in the middle of a set.

Lately I've been needing the magic from this pilates circle a whole lot more than usual. It's so cool how one little thing can create such a huge ripple effect to your practice and your body.

The more my baby grows, the more the belly grows, the harder it is to find the connection to my abdominals. Thank goodness for the circle, it reminds me of the connection throughout my whol ebody so I am able to perform the exercises with stability and integrity.

A few years back before I even thought of "Full Circle Pilates" I came across this article: https://classicalpilatescentre.co.uk/magic-circle-and-core…/

I wanted to share with you, it might make you think of adding Pilates to your already existing fitness regimen or picking it up to start your fitness journey. Also, learn why the Magic Circle is my favorite. If you are finding yourself isolating muscles, body parts, plateauing in your. workouts - Be curious and find the why. -OR- DM me, I'm always open for a chat.

So grateful to have a Refomer at home! My changing body definetly calls for a reformer workout. I only have a few more weeks where I could work in supine without feeling out of breath. This was a great reformer flow with Carrie of Positively Pilates! Her Prenatal workouts are safe but challenging!

AND...anyone who trains or works with me knows I LOVE to stop and ask questions! LOL! Carrie does a great job answering my questions while keeping me moving! Feeling strong at 16 weeks!

When I committed to creating a social media account so I can start marketing my services, I was 30 weeks pregnant with my second child. Now, pregnant again and 16 weeks in (just a year later), here I am actually doing it and starting this page. Since then, "Full Circle Pilates" has showed up in my life and in my teachings. It's just fitting to have my first post about pilates and pregnancy.

Pilates has helped me all throughout ALL my pregnancies. All three being extremely different from the other. My modifications has evolved, especially today and now with this back-to-back pregnancies. Join me in my journey pre and post natal, because our bodies are amazing and it teaches us so much everyday. Pregnancy is such a beautiful thing but also sooooo humbling. One goes through so many changes and all we can do is embrace it and enjoy every single moment of it!
