SOLIDARITY WORKS! ✊

The Northern Indiana Area Labor Federation (NIALF) was proud to stand alongside Teamsters Local 142 this morning as Amazon workers in Merrillville reached a historic milestone in their fight for union recognition.

These workers will become the first group of Amazon workers in the state of Indiana to unionize, marking a significant moment for organized labor in Northwest Indiana and across our state.

Today is a reminder that when working people stand together, raise their voices, and fight for a seat at the table, they can make history. NIALF congratulates these workers and the Teamsters on this achievement and looks forward to seeing the strength of solidarity continue to grow.

One voice may be heard, but together we are stronger. Solidarity forever!

Union families stand with public education. Vote YES on your local school referendum! Under Senate Enrolled Act 1 (SEA 1), property tax assessments were changed, shrinking the local revenue base supporting Indiana schools. Even with the same tax rate, schools now receive less funding while costs for transportation, utilities, insurance, and staffing continue to rise.A local school referendum gives us the power to protect essential student services, maintain class sizes, and support dedicated school staff. 🗳️
