We train them on the ground before we ever saddle them.
First ride was by her owner lakota and he didn’t use stirrups as
If she started bucking or crow hopping I didn’t want him to A. Get his foot caught and get drug and B. If we needed to pull him off we wanted to do so fast c. If she bucked he could jump off faster…
However she did perfect and walked well for her 10 min ride.

Love the positive feed back we were given and we had such a great day learning about horsss health and riding! I even saw some kids trotting patterns.

Today is the day we give all the horses a day off and lucky no rain so they will all be going out to play. All the horses get other days off as well but it’s nice to have them all have a day off all together and be able to run as a heard family in pasture.
