Under 24 hours from our last 5k run/walk fundraiser for local Steens Mountain Running Camp participants. Beautiful weather on the horizon; enjoy a nice stroll or trot in the woods to help support student athletes.

Last minute entries welcome via email/VENMO or day-of registration at Idlewild Campground.

July 8th, 2023- final fundraiser 5kish walk 9:00 / run 9:30 for Burns Hilanders Cross County Team to attend Steens Mountain Running Camp. Grab a friend for a nice walk or run in the woods.

* Location = Idlewild Campground
* Course = 5kish over rolling forest road to our home XC meet single track course.

Appreciate those who showed up to support our local participants here in . Especially to Pete Runnels who gave some words of encouragement & continues to support our team, community & camp.

There are still opportunities to participate. July 8th final race at Idlewild Campground. (Details in attached flyer).

We enjoyed seeing folks, but understand if schedules don’t allow or not inclined to walk/jog. You can still help. Donations are accepted. We appreciate those who previously helped the kids attend camp.

New Year's Fitness goals waning? Need motivation? Here's the fix = High Desert Race Series . Now that snow stopped 🤞, we are plowing ahead this year. The event supports members of the Burns High School Cross Country Team attendance at the Steens Mountain Running Camp.

Last year participants, generous local donations & companies outside our area donating prizes helped seven student athletes attend camp & set up a successful season.

The kids will be seeking door prizes, awards and/or donations from businesses & organizations. So, even if you cannot walk/run the events ANY supports is appreciated.

Overview:

- May 29th Hines City Park & July 8th Idlewild Campground

- Walk or Run

-Two different courses

- Can register for individual events OR series

- Event Series = $65
- Series entrants will receive hat

- Individual Event = $25

- Day-of-Race Registration = $30
