The new for 2026 rig has a name. The person that came up with it doesn’t fish so they had no use for the rigs. They wanted to pay it forward and have me give them away to someone else. I will be putting all the names that responded to my original post in a hat and drawing a winner for a magnum, regular and mag single of the new “Home Wrecker” Gambler Rig. These rigs are in stock and available at www.gamblerrigs.com.

Here is the new for 2026 rig by Gambler Rigs. I do not have a name for this rig yet. Like, share and give a name suggestion. The name I choose will win the three rigs pictured! In the event of a tie, the person that came up with the name and posted first will be the winner!

Gambler Rigs and Hammerhead Cowbells are deadly on Lake Ontario Steelhead? This is not something you see often! This 23” steelhead hit an Alien UV regular behind a Froggy Hammerhead Cowbells on the bottom in 125’! Weird when the rod fires and immediately b lines for the surface!

A couple years ago at the Niagara show, Calvin came to my lake trout seminar and showed me his product called Strike Assist. He explained his product to me and it made total sense. We tried to hook up last year to test Strike Assist with Gambler Rigs but it never happened. I did a little dabbling with it one trip and was astonished with the results. A little over a week ago, we were able to make to get together and test out the Strike Assist. Knowing that the fishing has been tough we didn’t have high expectations but gave it our best. We got some really cool camera footage of lakers hitting our baits and the Strike Assist working exactly as designed. The lakers we caught on Strike Assist were hooked deep and didn’t come off. The lakers hooked without Strike assist either came off or fell off in the net. I am looking at stocking these on my website if enough guys show interest. Team Rigger Mortis used Gambler Rigs and Gambler Rigs death traps to catch lakers and seal the second place finish in the Am division of the Orleans County open this weekend! Crushed Ice UV Regular death Trap with a Slimer Gambler rigs trolled in king spread out their lakers in the box both days. Congrats guys!

Gambler Rigs helped Team Legacy win the Orleans County open this past weekend. Lemon Drop and the Legacy magnums gave them the advantage they needed to complete their box of 5 salmon and 5 trout. Congrats Rob, Hunter, Billy, Paul and Matt!
