Take a look at this bird's eye view of all the nests on HHI this 2022 season! The red and green dots represent 423 nests, one of the higher nesting numbers that we have seen. The white dots represent the false crawls (or non-nesting crawls) of sea turtles who came out of the water but decided not to nest.

With two more projects underway, CCA South Carolina's Coastal Reefing Initiative will have deployed 20 artificial reefs in just over a decade at the conclusion of 2022. Along with our dedicated partners at Sea Hunt Boat Company, Building Conservation Trust, South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, and many others these projects represent approximately $1,000,000 of investment in marine habitat off the coast of the Palmetto State. With the continued commitment of our outstanding industry partners and the recreational fishing community at large, the habitat effort is on pace to place new material on all 43 permitted reef sites off the coast by the year 2030. Join us. Because "Habitat today equals fish tomorrow".
