A simple THANK YOU is not enough. The rock to our family was taken so quickly. So fast, so unexpected.
My dad/poppy left an unbelievable legacy. He was the epitome of the FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT. ( Galatians- first hint). IF You don’t know what that means or what they are I challenge you to find them in your Bible. ( or app). Dad/ poppy was every single one of those fruits.
We cannot thank you enough for your outpouring of love, support, meals, shoulders to cry on. Phone calls, texts, drop-ins. It’s overwhelming.
I’m broken, I’m devastated, we don’t know how to live without our loud father/poppy. He was the Light for so many. He brought joy and laughter to all. He’d like to kill us all with Ernieville, and his drawings and styrofoam and empty bottles, cans- which has now become so sacred to our hearts.
I know everyone wants details and closure as well.
Know that my dad was visiting my uncles for my mom’s side of Christmas. The three siblings. This was the second year they had gotten together. Know that my dad before he passed was in church singing his heart out, at the Christmas show and I’m thinking God heard his crazy voice and said yep, it’s time for him to come home.
He had a massive heart attack in my mother’s arms at my uncles house. Mom’s face was the last thing he saw before going home. His love. His buddy, his best friend. They did everything to save him and God was welcoming him home.
We are working on details for his celebration of life. One here in HHI/ Bluffton and one in Atlanta. Looking at end of January. We still have not been able to get him home yet. So we are awaiting his arrival.
Thank you for all the love and support.
Everyone wants something to do, to help. Please pray. Pray hard. We love you and thank you.
