It was a fabulous Easter Sunday and opening of Merrie Monarch week. Mahalo nui to Aunty Luana and all who make this festival a success each year. Congratulations to the gracious kūpuna wahine! They won 1st place in the 39th Annual Hawaii Kupuna Hula Festival, Tūtū Wahine Group Division. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them!

Congratulations to Aunty Kelley for earning 2nd place in the Tūtū Wahine Soloist Division at this year’s Kūpuna Hula Festival. Her performance was truly beautiful, and we are incredibly proud of her. ♥️

Another year of hula in the park sponsored by the Volcano Art Center. This event is scheduled every 2nd Saturday of the month and features wonderful performances by different hālau. Mahalo for having us! We had so much fun and we look forward to our next visit!
