Recovery doesn't always mean doing nothing.

Sometimes, a little movement can help.

Low-intensity cardio like walking, cycling, or an easy jog can be a great form of active recovery. It increases blood flow without placing a large amount of additional stress on the body, while also helping you maintain your aerobic fitness between harder training sessions.

The key is keeping it easy. Recovery cardio shouldn't feel like another hard workout.

Move enough to recover, not so much that you need recovery from your recovery. 💪

🏆August Member of the Month: Austin Raszkowski

Austin had 26 visits in August, reached 400 total visits, and has lost nearly 70 pounds since becoming a member.

We asked Austin a few questions about his journey:

What made you decide it was time to make a change?
“The overwhelming feeling that I needed to make a change in my life. I had been telling myself for months that I was going to commit to taking care of myself, but I kept failing to keep that promise up until that point.”

What has helped you stay consistent?
“The constant reminder that I had to put in the effort, even on the days when I wasn’t 100%, because at the end of the day, you’re the only person stopping yourself from achieving your goals.”

What would you say to someone who is just getting started?
“Simply see it through. The first three months will be the hardest, and you’ll want to quit, but don’t let that stop you from becoming the person you want to be.”

Congratulations, Austin, on being our August Member of the Month!

We’re proud of your consistency, progress, and commitment.

Your body is built to adapt.

That's why your workouts need to adapt, too.

As you consistently train, exercises that were once challenging become easier because your body gets stronger and more efficient. Progressive overload keeps that adaptation moving forward by gradually increasing the challenge—whether that's adding weight, increasing reps, improving range of motion, adjusting tempo, or progressing an exercise.

Your workouts shouldn't look exactly the same forever. As your body changes, your training should change with it.

Keep challenging your body, and give it a reason to keep adapting. 💪
