Taconic Hills Titans Athletics Angela Webster, Athletic Director Taconic Hills offers a wide range of interscholastic sports on the Varsity, Junior Varsity and Modified levels.

The athletic program at Taconic Hills CSD is founded on the principle that the playing field is an extension of the classroom; and participation in athletics contributes to academic development. The Titans compete in Class B, Section 2. In most sports, our teams compete as a member of the Patroon Conference.

NY Trap State Tournament

On June 7th, the Taconic Hills Trap Team competed in the NY State Tournament. The team came in 7th place out of 31 teams. They scored 450 out of 500, with the winning team hitting 468 out of 500, so they were not far behind. The weather conditions were windy and cool, with occasional light showers, not the best conditions for competing. Here are some highlights from the day:
Jameson Irwin was able to shoot a straight 25 out of 25, earning him the award of Team High Gun with a 92 average.
Grace Burlarley earned Team High Gun Female with a 77 average in the Novice division.
Torin Midwood earned Team High Gun Male with a 77 average in the JV division.
Ava Hodges earned Team High Gun Female with an 86 Average in the varsity division.
Our Top Averages for the day were:
Jameson Irwin- 92 average
Gavin Hodges- 91 average
Brayden Jause- 91 average
Kaiden Klein- 90 average
Ava Hodges- 86 average

The coaches were extremely proud of each player and all their efforts this weekend. As the team closes out the spring season, they will move into practice for Nationals. They have 11 of 24 qualifying students traveling to Mason, Michigan, to compete in July.

The season came to an end today as the Taconic Hills Titans fell to Notre Dame, 7-5, in the Regional Finals.

The Titans battled until the final out, led offensively by Aidan Buchinsky, who went 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs. Tristan Super added two singles, while Mathias Bradley contributed an RBI double.

While it is disappointing to see the dream of a State Championship come to an end, this team has so much to be proud of. The Titans won five postseason games, captured the Section 2 Class B Championship, and represented our school and community with tremendous heart, determination, and pride.

Keep your heads high, Titans. This season was filled with memorable moments, incredible accomplishments, and a championship that can never be taken away. Thank you for an unforgettable ride.

Emma Stickles competed in the NY State quals meet on June 4th for triple jump. Emma has an outstanding season going undefeated all season in the triple jump in the patroon conference.

Emma jumped 33' 5.5 inches, finishing in 6th place overall. Congratulations Emma!!!

Varsity Boys Track & Field

Alexander Beck started off strong in the 3k steeple, finishing his junior year with an 8th place finish with a time of 11:13.01.

Jaxson Buttner went to State Qualifiers and finished 8th place overall in the Discus(111' 7") and was an alternate in the shotput. Jaxson is a freshman starting his journey and will be with the team for the next 3 years.

Clyde Drake went to State Qualifiers and got a PR in the 110h Hurdles with a 16.24 in the first event of Pentathlon. Unfortunately, a Hamstring Strain did not allow him to finish the Pentathlon. Clyde Drake has had an amazing 4 year run with the Titans and will continue his Track and Field career at Wesleyan University. Good Luck Clyde and thank you for the commitment and effort for the Taconic HIlls Track Team!!

Emilio Mercado finished 2nd , after a back and forth battle, in both the Shotput(47' 4.5") and the Discus(147' 6"). Emilio has had an incredible 4 year career at Taconic Hills High School, multi time Patroon Champion and Sectional Champion along with being a two time State Qualifier. 6/4/26 Taconic Hills 2, Northeastern Clinton 1 ⚾️

Congratulations to the Taconic Hills Varsity Baseball team on an exciting 2-1 victory over Northeastern Clinton!

The Titans were led offensively by Aidan Buchinsky, who went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate, while Maky Kirby added three hits of his own, finishing 3-for-4.

On the mound, Kirby delivered a strong complete-game performance, allowing just four hits while striking out eight batters and issuing four walks.

The Titans will now face Section 3 Notre Dame in the Regional Finals at Shuttleworth Park in Amsterdam, NY, at noon on Saturday, June 6. Come out and support the Titans as they continue their postseason run!

🏅 Congratulations to Mackenzie Vigue! 🏅

Mackenzie Vigue delivered an outstanding performance at the State Qualifiers, earning 1st Place in the Pentathlon and securing her spot at the Track & Field State Championships on June 13th and 14th!

Mackenzie achieved a new personal-best Pentathlon score of 2,357 points, highlighting her hard work and dedication throughout the season. She also set new personal records in two events:

800m: 2:36
Shot Put: 26 feet

Congratulations, Mackenzie, on this incredible accomplishment! The entire Taconic Hills community is proud of your achievement and wishes you the best of luck at the State Championships. 💙💛
