American League Cricket T20 (ALCT20) is the only official league for Americans, by Americans, dedicated to developing homegrown talent in the United States. The first edition is set for March 2025 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. Here’s a breakdown of the league's player format:
Teams: There will be 8 teams.
Player Composition: Each team will have a roster of 15 players, including 10 U.S. citizens and 5 international players.
Playing XI Requirements: In each match, the playing XI must include at least 7 U.S. citizens, with a maximum of 4 international players allowed (optional).
This structure aims to provide U.S. citizens with significant playing time while also incorporating international experience to elevate the competition.
