With a heat index even higher today, all HYAA practices for Friday Sept 4 are canceled.

For Saturday Sept 5 practices, Coaches, we ask that you please use discretion given there are practice times throughout the day. Include multiple water breaks and limit your practice to no more than 90 minutes.

WOW! We were feeling the love this morning! 🤩
HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to help get the fields cleaned up and ready for the fall season! From raking dirt, w**d eating and mowing to prepping the dugouts, we couldn't have done it without our amazing community! Your hard work and dedication mean the world to us and, most importantly, to the kids. Now we're ready to PLAY BALL! 🎉

Hello HYAA Families!

As we get closer to the start of the Fall Season, we need to gather for a quick clean up day at all of our fields!

**When? TOMORROW! Saturday August 15

**What time? 9am (we won't stop anyone from going earlier to beat the heat)

**Where should you go?
T-Ball, MP30, Rookie, 8u and Softball, 8u hawks --> Collins Field
Exchange, 9u & 10u hawks --> Exchange
Schely & 11u hawks --> Schley
10u and 14u Softball --> Efland Cheeks
Diamond --> Cedar Grove
12u & 13u hawks --> Cedar Grove Ruritan

**What should I do?
Biggest needs are:
-W**d eating/whacking
-Site Clean up and over growth cut back (maybe a pole saw for low hanging branches)
-Conex box/Storage Sheds clean out and organizing
-Equipment checks (catchers gear, helmets, bats, Tees, machines)
-Concession Stand cleaning (wipe down, check machines and operation)
-Trash Can organizing
-Fence and dug out inspection

**What if I can't help Saturday?
We always need help mowing! Ask your head coach or division commissioner for more info! This needs to happen throughout the season and at least once a week. Right now you can hear the grass grow so maybe more often if needed!

We look forward to seeing y'all again and we appreciate the efforts!
