One of my favorite things to see in class is when a student realizes somebody is counting on them.

A partner needs them to stay focused.
Their team needs them to keep going.
Somebody younger is watching what they do.

Kids usually carry themselves a little differently when they know their part matters.

What’s something your kid takes extra seriously because they know other people are counting on them?

Tag Team was easily one of the highlights of Nationals.

The ring was packed, the sidelines were packed, and once it started everybody wanted to watch.

Fast matches, quick tags, teammates yelling from the side, and a completely different feel from the rest of competition.

This is the moment all of that hard work has been building toward.

Every class they showed up for.
Every technique they practiced.
Every challenge they pushed through.
Every time they could have quit… but kept going. 👊

Now it’s time to show what they can do.

Belt Promotion Testing is about so much more than receiving a new belt. It’s about courage, confidence, focus, and giving students the opportunity to step forward and prove to themselves just how far they’ve come.

There is nothing better than watching a student finish their testing knowing they gave it everything they had. 🙌

Nationals is about a whole lot more than what happens in the competition rings.
The Awards Banquet is a chance to celebrate the entire year, recognize competitors, judges, instructors, school owners, and the people who put so much into IMAS all year long.

There were awards, plenty of laughs, a few surprises, and a chance for everyone to actually sit down and enjoy the weekend together for a little while.

And after a year of uniforms, gear bags, tournaments, classes, testing, and early mornings… everyone cleans up pretty well too. 😂

A really fun night celebrating a really great year.
