State Day 2: Our girls turned up the HEAT 🔥🔥

Hello March!!

March means that our competition team is fast approaching our State competition (and with it our chance to qualify for Nationals in Madison, WI). Our recreational students will be looking forward to moving into new classes and levels for the summer session. It has been amazing to see all the growth happening in the gym each week!

We have low numbers in two of our classes and now is a great time to snag a spot!

Tiny-Tot Tumbling with Carley:
Tuesdays 11:00am-Noon
Ages: 2 and Under
This is a child lead class for our tiniest tumblers. Children two and under have open access to the gym and equipment to climb, run, jump, and play at their own pace. This class is great because it helps to develop crucial muscles babies and toddlers need for walking and running while also allowing them to learn social skills.

Recreational Trampoline:
Wednesdays 6:00pm-7:00pm
Ages: 6 and up
This class is for our trampoline lovers! It is fast moving with lots of drill stations to teach the fundamentals of trampoline and double-mini trampoline. It is perfect for kids who need a class with a lot of physical output and who like to bounce big! There is NO floor tumbling portion to this class.

For some people, meeting their favorite athletes is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I get to work with mine every day! January kickstarted the heart of our competition season, and several of our athletes are competing new levels for the first time.

Cora was the highlight of my day at the Decatur competition, and she made a mistake that ruins a lot of athletes entire performance. Cora accidentally threw the wrong skill in her first of thee passes. She came off the mat with tears brimming her eyes and said "I messed up, what do I do now?" We hugged and talked through our options: She could keep going with her planned passes and take the deduction for repeating the accidental skill, or she could take a risk and throw a combination of skills she has never worked before. She has all the parts needed for the combination, but it is still scary to mix things up on the fly and under a lot of pressure.

She decided to go for the new pass, and through nerves and frustration, SHE NAILED IT!

Being a great athlete doesn't require perfect passes. It requires the ability to adjust and recover when things don't go as planned.

Homeschool Families: We are creating a class for YOU and we want YOUR input! The next two Mondays in January we will be hosting open gyms to welcome interested tumblers into the space and to work out the details of the class. We hope to see you there!
