If you have a child in sports, or performing arts, or care at all about the safety of 9th - 12th grade I highly suggest you make it a priority to attend tomorrow's (Thursdays) meeting. I only call out the High School safety because they're THE ONLY building with no kind of secure entrance! Every building in our district, when you walk in you're not going any further than that foyer until allowed. The high school, you walk into the cafeteria.
Here's a thought....
🌟If you plan to vote no: attend
🌟If you no longer have children in the district: attend
🌟If you have ever walked through the front door at the High School and thought, "Where is the security measures to keep my kid safe": attend
🌟If you HATE walking all the way to the baseball field from the front of the building: attend
🌟If you haven't had to do that yet: attend
🌟If you have children that are alumni and wished your child played on a "better" field or performed in a better theater or a better workout room to build strength in: attend
🌟If you have ever had any kind of "off" feelings at the priority of projects at the school: attend
🌟If you are confused on how which project is chosen to be done first in our disctrict: attend
🌟If you HOPE your future grandkids will attend Hillsboro School District: attend
🌟If you are totally confused: attend
🌟If your thought is "Don't raise my taxes!": attend
🌟If you have ever visited another school district and was in awww of their school and thought, "how did they make this happen": attend
It doesn't matter why, just attend this meeting!
You can sit silently and learn and form your own opinions!
Or you can chime in and MAKE YOUR VOICE BE HEARD!
You won't regret this decision to attend.
Don't sit back and WATCH it happen, come forward and HELP it happen!
