The state tournament is a wrap and your Hill City Rangers are once again bringing home Team 4th place!! 🏆

In addition, we have two individual medalists! 🏅🏅Zane tied for 18th and Breylon tied 20th! Max finished 52nd and Leyton at 61st, all four finishing in the top half. Way to go boys!

(He won’t want me to mention it, but Coach Daiss was also named Region 6B Coach of the year again!)

To our seniors, Max and Zane, we wish you the best of luck as you head off to college this fall! You will be missed.

Day 1 of the 2026 State Tournament is in the books! It was a solid day for your Rangers.

The team current sits tied for 4th.
Zane is currently tied for 20th with a 78. Breylon is tied for 33rd at 80. Max tied for 41st at 81. And Leyton tied for 56 with 83. Everyone is in the top half of the field!

There is a lot of fierce competition out there. Out of a field of 141 boys, there are 55 scoring ten over or less! One more day to go.

What a day! We started with a great practice round at the course and finished with a birthday dinner celebration!

Happy birthday to three of our biggest supporters, Glynda, Melissa, and Paisley. 🎉🧁 We hope you had the best day and are so thankful we could spend your day with you!

Action kicks off for the Rangers at 8am Central/7am Mountain tomorrow. This is a two day tournament. They boys will play 18 holes each day. You can follow along on either the Golf Genius website or app with code 26SDBOYSB.

And they’re off! 🚙🚙 Well, at 6:15am this morning they took off. We opted not to wake y’all up at that ungodly hour with a firetruck es**rt. 🚒🚒

The team made a stop in Madison for a fun round at the Madison Country Club, Madison, South Dakota . And now, we’re settled in Brookings enjoying some sunny down time. We hope everyone back home is enjoying the rain!

Tomorrow we’ll play a practice round at Brookings Country Club before the tournament kicks off on Monday morning.

📣 Congratulations to your 4️⃣-peat Region 6B 🏆 champion 🏆 Hill City Rangers! 📣

It was a long day on the course with a stop of play for rain 🌧️ and lightning ⚡️. But that didn’t stop these Rangers from bringing in 1st place by 10 strokes over the Wall Eagles! 🐻⛳️

Congratulations as well to Breylon (73) for his individual 🏆1st place win! As well as to Leyton (80) on his 🏅6th place tie and Zane’s (83) 🏅9th place.

We’ll see you back here on June 1st and 2nd for the state tournament.

Good morning, Ranger fans! It looks to be a much better day for golf than Monday was! Your Rangers are at Hart Ranch Golf Club for the Region 6B tournament today. This will determine which teams and which individuals qualify for state. It’s a one day determination. One day, 18 holes. Top 2 teams and top 40% of individuals. (You can qualify as an individual even if your team does not.) If you’d like to follow along on Golf Genius, the GGID is BG26R6B.

Today was the last practice of the season for our JV and middle school teams! We spent the evening on the course playing a team scramble. ☀️
