Demo continues in the overhead bunk! There’s a lot of rotted paneling up here, and it’s hard to tell if it’s damaged from the first repair, the main window leak that was dumping tons of water into the cab, or if there’s another leak somewhere. So might as well tear it all out, make sure everything is sealed, and then rebuild.

Gotta love 90s rolled vinyl flooring. Glad this was under the carpet though, because it protected the sub floor from water and whatever else spilled over the years. I’ll probably give it a good bleach and reuse it as the moisture barrier for the new flooring.

Like most teens in the late 90’s, I was really big into car audio. So much so that I made it a career for almost 10 years. Like any profession/hobby, I had a lot of “backstock” equipment, Sadly, this is all that remains. Found in a crate marked “Project Raven”. (IYKYK)

Same old same old. “Upgraded” from a 73 to a “vintage” 98, and I’m still working on overheads 🤣
Now that snowboard season is over, it’s time for build season! Decided to utilize the major rain storms to see how bad my water leak problem has gotten, and I’d say… it’s pretty bad.
The standing water was a dead giveaway away. The underlayment between the insulation foam and fiberglass is completely disintegrated. All of the paneling is shot. Guess I’ll be redoing the entire overhead now 🤷 Thank goodness it has a welded metal frame!!!

Playing around with AI to see what Carl would look like with an exterior color change. I already know I want to do truck bed liner along the bottom, and had been tossing around dark gray for the main color. For gits and shiggles I decided to add topographical lines, and I think it looks pretty sweet. What are your thoughts? Lines or no lines?
