Two Day 'Special Figures' Workshops: July 11-12 or August 1-2 at Apex Center Ice Arena

Colorado coach Laura Kottlowski is holding her annual two day 'Special Figures' workshops at Apex Center Ice Arena where you’ll have the opportunity to learn the history and roots of figure skating through both in-class and on ice presentations. In total the workshop spans over 8hrs during the two day workshop. This workshop is unlike any edge class you’ve attended before and although it could be considered the hardest edge class you'll ever take (even for Olympians) many of the figures you'll learn can also be done on two-feet. Skaters travel from across the Nation for its unique educational offering and it’s right in our backyard! This summer U.S. Figure Skating team USA’s Sonja Hilmer has signed-up for the July 11-12th workshop. Come learn the edgework of the original masters of our sport alongside Sonja!

🌴❄️ Checking out Great Park Ice in sunny California!
There’s something pretty amazing about stepping out of the warm California sun and into the chill of the rink. The energy here is incredible — skaters training hard, coaches focused, and the whole place buzzing with passion for the sport.

Feeling inspired and grateful to visit such a world-class facility. 🩵⛸️✨

Back at training… chasing down my dream of passing my Senior Skating Skills test. 🖤⛸️

I hear about skaters with foot pain every day—I fit skates for a living. But wow… now I really get it. After not wearing my own skates consistently for years, even though they still fit, the underside of my feet hurt so bad I wasn’t sure I’d make it through.

Then I slipped in the Edea E-Soles and… instant relief. Game-changer. Worth every penny. 🙌

This journey is going to hurt sometimes—but it’s worth it. Here’s to pushing through, gaining new compassion, and never giving up on the goals that matter most.
